Your questions, answered.

  • Hoof Happy ribs are made from real, recognizable ingredients like jackfruit, pea protein, rice paper, a house-made sofrito, unrefined coconut oil, spices, and a touch of beetroot for color. No soy ingredients, no gluten ingredients, and no weird fake-meat additives, just flavorful, wholesome components you can feel good about.

(Contains coconut — a tree nut.)

  • Hoof Happy ribs are fully versatile. Once thawed, you can grill them, pan-sear them, roast them, air-fry them, or shred them into salads, tacos, bowls, and sandwiches. Just heat, sauce, and enjoy however you love your ribs.

  • No and that’s on purpose. Hoof Happy ribs are designed to pair with your favorite BBQ sauce, glaze, or marinade so you can customize the flavor to match your cravings.

  • We use a handcrafted 3-layer method with jackfruit for the “meat,” rice paper for that tender chew, and a slow-seasoned blend that caramelizes as it cooks. When baked or grilled, everything binds together and forms that rib-like pull, bite, and char. It’s shockingly close to the real thing but without the animal.

  • Hoof Happy contains no soy ingredients and no gluten ingredients. However, it is currently prepared in a kitchen that processes wheat, so it may not be suitable for individuals with severe gluten allergies or celiac disease.

We are actively working toward moving into a dedicated gluten-free kitchen in the future.

The only major allergen present is tree nuts (coconut).

  • Hoof Happy ribs last for about six months when stored in the freezer. Keep them frozen until you’re ready to eat. To cook, simply thaw for about 60 minutes at room temperature, then prepare them however you like: grill, oven, pan, or air fryer.
